I needed a present for my friend for already the next day.
My dad wasn't willing to take me to a shop so I had to DIY it.
I decided on cookie cutter candles because they are cute, fearly simple to make and very cheap.
YOU NEED:
an old candle,
candle wicks,
colourful crayons,
a metal bowl,
baking paper,
scissors,
a small bowl,
cookie cutters
HOW TO:
1. Take an old candle and a bit of a crayon in your favourite colour (or your friend's favourite colour)
and put it in a metal bowl, lift the bowl on the oven and melt.
2. Put a piece of baking paper in your other bowl. Set your cookie cutter on the middle and the candle wick in the middle of the cookie cutter.
3. Pour the melted wax into the cutter as a thin layer. When the layer sets, add another, thicker layer.
(Repeat until you have the hight you wish)
4. Let the candles dry.
5. When dry, gently remove it from the cookie cutter.
I got my wax and candle wicks from tea candles.
If you want to create an ombre effect: add just a little of the crayon to the wax for the first layer.
For every next layer add some more crayon to the wax.
TIP: To keep the wick straight, support it with a match.
